CBSA Expects High Traffic for March Break Amid Border Preparations
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has issued a statement anticipating increased border traffic during the upcoming March Break. The agency notes that this period traditionally experiences higher volumes of travelers.
In 2024, the CBSA recorded processing over 93.4 million travelers at Canada's borders. During the same timeframe, the agency successfully intercepted over 34,400 kilograms of illegal drugs and confiscated 930 firearms along with more than 17,200 other weapons. These actions highlight the agency's ongoing operational responsibilities.
The CBSA advises travelers to anticipate potential delays due to the increase in traffic and encourages familiarization with border policies to assist in smoothing the transit process during busy periods.
