Canadian Army Joins Exercise ARCTIC FORGE 25 in Finland

The Canadian Army is set to participate in an international military exercise named Exercise ARCTIC FORGE 25, taking place from February 17 to 28 in Sodankylä, Finland. This exercise will involve 40 personnel from Canada’s 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (2 CMBG), who will train alongside 850 military personnel from Finland and the United States.

Prior to the main event, Canadian soldiers will join the US Army’s 10th Mountain and 11th Airborne Divisions at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Together, they will be transported over the North Pole to the Finnish training site with assistance from the US Air Force. Once in Finland, these forces will collaborate with Finland’s Jaeger Brigade to conduct field training and cold-weather exercises .
