Call for Training Proposals from Local Organizations in Clarington

The Ontario government has announced the fifth round of the Skills Development Fund (SDF), with up to $260 million available for training initiatives. Employers, employment service and training providers, labour unions, business and industry organizations, municipalities, hospitals, Indigenous Band offices, Indigenous skills and employment training agreement holders, service system managers, and other community organizations in Clarington are encouraged to submit their proposals.

Eligible organizations can apply for funding through Transfer Payment Ontario. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until October 4, 2024.

This funding aims to address the labour shortage by connecting jobseekers with employers in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and technology. The SDF has invested up to $1.4 billion to date, with this round being the largest yet.
