Call for Promotion of Durham Region Transit On Demand Service in Clarington

At the General Government Committee meeting held on November 30, 2020, a resolution was passed urging Durham Region to initiate an extensive promotional campaign for its On Demand bus service. This request was made in light of the discontinuation of GO Bus Route 90, which many residents of Clarington relied upon for transportation to and from Newcastle. The committee noted that the On Demand service is available to all urban and rural residents of Clarington, but many may not be aware of its existence. The resolution was moved by Councillor Zwart and seconded by Councillor Anderson, and it was carried unanimously.
