Bowmanville Downtown Parking Changes Effective January 1, 2022
The General Government Committee of Clarington has approved several changes to parking regulations in downtown Bowmanville, set to take effect on January 1, 2022. The amendments include the discontinuation of the two-hour free parking in municipal lots. New parking rates will be established at $1.00 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $5.00 applicable to the Division, Silver, Water Tower, and Church Street lots. Additionally, a two-hour maximum parking limit will be enforced in the 20 King Street lot. A mobile app for parking payments will also be introduced as part of the 2022 Municipal budget, aimed at facilitating parking transactions for users.
