Bowmanville Dog Park Solar Lighting Update
On September 11, 2023, the General Government Committee approved a resolution regarding the Bowmanville Dog Park solar lighting. The committee authorized the use of $10,000 from the Tax Rate Stabilization Reserve Fund for the removal of all existing solar lights and poles from the Bowmanville Leash Free Park. Additionally, staff were directed to utilize the existing solar lighting at the Newcastle Leash Free Park, with the relocation costs to be funded from the Capital Works Reserve Fund. The committee also instructed staff to investigate a hardwired lighting system for the Bowmanville Leash Free Park and to identify the source of funding for this project.
