Bowmanville Avenue Lane Closure Scheduled for March 17 Start
The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced a lane closure on Bowmanville Avenue in Clarington. The closure is scheduled to commence on March 17 and continue until December 2025, impacting traffic between 10th Concession and Boundary Road.
This measure is necessary to safely execute the replacement of the Burketon Station bridge, which spans the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway. During this period, traffic will be reduced to one lane, with temporary traffic signals installed to alternate north-south movements.
Local residents and commuters are advised to drive carefully in the vicinity to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and construction personnel. The Regional Municipality of Durham has expressed gratitude for public understanding and cooperation during this time.
