Blue-Green Algae Advisory at Kinsmen Beach

Kinsmen Beach, located at Palmer Park in Port Perry, is currently under a blue-green algae advisory. Residents are advised to avoid swimming or playing in areas where the water appears discolored or where foam, scum, or mats of algae are visible on the surface. Additionally, it is not recommended to consume fish from waters where algae mats are present. These measures are in place to protect both residents and pets from potential health risks associated with blue-green algae blooms.
