Black Vendor Village Event Planned in Clarington

The Municipality of Clarington, alongside the Region of Durham and Clarington Library, Museums & Archives, is organizing an event called the Black Vendor Village. This event will be held at the Garnet B Rickard Recreation Complex on Saturday, February 8, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Attendees can expect a range of activities, including music and performances. The event will also provide an opportunity to engage with Clarington’s Diversity Advisory and Anti-Black Racism Committees. Additionally, activities will be hosted by the Clarington Library, Museums & Archives, and there will be a Vendor Village featuring local Black-owned businesses.

This event is part of the Black History Month celebrations in the region, focusing on the contributions of Black communities.
