Approval and Funding for Brown Street Reconstruction Project

The General Government Committee approved the proposal from CIMA+ for engineering services related to the Brown Street Reconstruction Project during the meeting on June 22, 2020. The contract was awarded based on the lowest price that met all terms and conditions of RFP2020-1. The total funding allocated for the engineering services is $101,754.37, which includes a net HST rebate. This amount will be drawn from two accounts: $81,714.62 from the Brown Street Reconstruction (2019) account and $20,039.75 from the Region of Durham (2019) account. Additionally, subject to budget approval in 2021, CIMA+ will also provide inspection and contract administration services at a cost of $75,774.71 (net HST rebate). The funds for these services will come from the following accounts: $60,619.77 from the Brown Street Reconstruction (2021) account and $15,154.94 from the Region of Durham (2021) account. All interested parties will be notified of the Council's decision.
