Appointments to Various Boards and Committees in Clarington

On September 23, 2019, the General Government Committee of Clarington made several appointments to fill vacancies on various boards and committees. The committee received Report CLD-019-19 and conducted a vote to appoint citizen and Council representatives in accordance with the Appointment to Boards and Committees Policy. The committee authorized the Municipal Clerk's Department to continue advertising for remaining vacancies on the Newcastle Arena Board, Newcastle Village Community Hall Board, and the Livestock Valuers. The resignations of Glynn Green from the Committee of Adjustment and Connor Visser from the Clarington Public Library were acknowledged. Katherine Warren, the current Chair of the Museum and Archives Board, was appointed to fill the vacancy on the Clarington Public Library Board. Noel Gamble was appointed to the Committee of Adjustment for a term ending December 31, 2022, or until a successor is appointed. Carrie-Anne Atkins was appointed to the Samuel Wilmot Nature Area Management Advisory Committee for a term ending December 31, 2022, or until a successor is appointed.
