Applications Open for Community Micro-Grants in Clarington

Clarington residents and non-profit groups can now apply for grants under Durham Region’s Building Safer Communities Grants Program. These Community Micro-Grants are targeted at initiatives that aim to mitigate youth violence and promote positive youth activities. Applications opened on February 10.

Deadlines are set for March 28 at 11:59 p.m., with application guidelines and forms available for download on the official Durham Region website. Projects must align with goals outlined in the Durham Region Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and Strategic Plan.

The region will hold informational sessions for applicants in February and March to clarify requirements and application procedures. Applicants can expect to hear about the outcome of their submissions by late May, allowing for project implementation between June 1 and December 31, 2025.
