Anaerobic Digestor Arbitration Update from General Government Committee Meeting

During the General Government Committee meeting on February 28, 2022, discussions regarding the anaerobic digestor arbitration were held. Councillor Neal moved a resolution requesting that the Director of Legislative Services and Municipal Solicitor report back at the March 14, 2022, Council meeting on the arbitration and next steps. This resolution was referred to the end of the agenda for discussion in a closed session. The meeting was subsequently closed to discuss two matters: potential property acquisition and an update on the anaerobic digestor, which involve litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality. Following the closed session, the committee resumed and passed a resolution directing the Municipal Solicitor to provide an update on the anaerobic digestor arbitration at the next Council meeting.
