All-Way Stop Installed at Gamebridge Intersection
The Regional Municipality of Durham has installed a new all-way stop at the intersection of Regional Road 50 and Regional Road 51 in Gamebridge. This initiative is part of the Durham Vision Zero strategy, which aims to enhance road safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
The all-way stop requires vehicles approaching the intersection to come to a complete stop and yield the right-of-way to the first vehicle or road user that stops. This measure is intended to provide a controlled crossing and improve safety at the intersection.
The installation of the all-way stop was completed recently, according to the Regional Municipality of Durham. The Vision Zero strategy is a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies to create safer road conditions across the region.
