Adoption of the Municipal Law Enforcement Policy

On November 30, 2020, the General Government Committee of Clarington adopted the Municipal Law Enforcement Policy as outlined in Report LGS-005-20. The motion was moved by Mayor Foster and seconded by Councillor Zwart. The resolution (GG-447-20) was carried with a recorded vote of 4 in favor and 2 against, with one member absent. The policy includes an amendment to remove Sections 3.16 and 3.17, as proposed in Resolution GG-449-20, which was also carried. All interested parties were to be advised of Council’s decision regarding the adoption of the policy.
