Accessibility Improvements on King Street East, Bowmanville

The Municipality of Clarington will implement accessibility improvements along King Street East in Bowmanville. These enhancements will include concrete curb and sidewalk ramping, improved crosswalks, tactile plates, and pedestrian signal upgrades at key intersections. The intersections receiving these upgrades are: King Street East at St. George Street, King Street East at Simpson Avenue, King Street East at the Bowmanville Mall Entrance, and King Street East at Mearns Avenue. These changes aim to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility, aligning with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) legislation, ensuring that Clarington's signalized intersections are accessible for all residents.
